2024 applications for PALilSaDS scholarship are open!

We are excited to announce that 2024 applications are now open for the Pacific Alliance for Low-income Inclusion in Statistics and Data Science (PALiISaDS) scholarship program!

Established in 2022, PALiISaDS aims to increase STEM degree completion for low-income, high-achieving undergraduates. The alliance is composed of seven public universities located along the west coast of the United States. Funded by the National Science Foundation, PALiISaDS offers a cohort-based bridge program for statistics and/or data science (SDS) majors through their last two years of undergraduate study and first year of graduate school.

Scholars receive need-based scholarships of up to $10,000 per year, academic and career support, and are introduced to a number of relevant topics and SDS professionals through monthly events. The support provided by PALiISaDS helps to bridge undergraduate and graduate programs in statistics and data science and includes an array of community-building activities, faculty and graduate student mentoring, help with grad school applications, and much more.

Eligibility:

  • Junior standing in Fall 2024

  • US citizen, permanent resident, or refugee

  • Pell Grant eligible

  • Statistics and/or Data Science major or minor (see website for a list of eligible degree programs at Alliance campuses)
