Evening with Industry - Society of Women Engineers at UCSB

Are you looking for a job or internship? Do you want to network with company recruiters and representatives but don't know how to start? The Society of Women Engineers at UCSB is excited to announce our 40th annual Evening with Industry (EWI) occurring on Thursday, January 18th from 6 - 9:30 PM in Corwin Pavilion. EWI is a formal event where students can network with industry representatives over dinner and wine (for 21+ attendees).
Attendance at EWI includes:
  • Networking opportunities with engineers and recruiters from several attending companies during our wine mixer, as well as a catered Italian dinner seated with a company of your preference. This is a great way to build your personal network. Many previous EWI attendees have obtained internships through this process.
  • Automatic entrance to our raffle for prizes from local businesses!
  • Inclusion in our resume book (distributed to all companies in attendance)
  • A keynote speech delivered by a UCSB alum currently in the engineering field (details to come on this soon!)

In addition to the above, EWI is a great way to network with your peers, UCSB faculty, and alumni. All majors, genders, and years of study are welcome!

Companies with currently confirmed attendance include:
  • Amazon Alexa
  • HRL Laboratories
  • Arista Networks
  • Karl Storz Imaging
  • Tesla
  • Northrop Grumman
  • Transphorm
We are in the process of reaching out to more companies so stay tuned for further updates!

Registration is now open here. The tickets are currently $24 for SWE members and $29 for non-SWE members. NOTE: These prices will increase by $2 every 2 weeks, so buy your tickets ASAP (more info on pricing is on the registration form)!

To qualify as a SWE member, you must have attended at least one SWE event before our upcoming Holiday Social event (so any event before Nov. 30th 2023). You will also need to check in in-person at a SWE event to get verified for the discount.
